About Us

Kevin and Terri Anne Dougherty owners of Serenity Hill Farm. Kevin was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Terri Anne Dougherty spent her childhood in Ballston Lake, NY. Together they are a dedicated husband and wife with three beautiful children. 

As an independent philanthropist, Kevin Dougherty has helped individuals all over the globe with music and charitable fundraising events independently, as well as through the Dudley T. Dougherty Foundation (dudleytdoughertyfoundation.org) founded by his Aunt, Mary Patricia Dougherty,  which supports many non-profit organizations annually, such as The American Himalayan Foundation, YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of America, Horse Rescue Foundations, in getting the funds that need to have continued success in their programs.

Kevin rides Western and Terri Anne Dougherty rides both Western and English Pleasure. Both enjoy having a good relationship with the horses and of course, love to trail ride.

Terri Anne Dougherty, in addition to caring for the property and her children, she is also a student at the University At Albany.  Terri  Anne will tell you she rides "purely for the love and experience of the horse." During her downtime, Terri spends her time conditioning and rehabilitating horses that are in a program and teaching young riders. She has close day-to-day contact with her staff making sure that the boarders and their horses are all cared for. Terri Anne teaches lessons opposite of the other instructors as needed and assesses them to ensure all are on track.

Kevin Dougherty first built and opened Serenity Hill in July 2003.Together they strive to make Serenity Hill Farm the very best boarding and riding stable available for all ages and riding styles.  With many new amenities and various instruction and programs available. Serenity Hill has come to be a top equestrian facility in the heart of horse country.
